The Folkwales logo is the Mari Lwyd with Eddie Kelly, owner of a used records emporium in Cardiff Market, which brought delight and amazement to shoppers. A visit to Eddie's house was like discovering a Music Hall museum, with Vesta Tilley, Harry Champion and Marie Lloyd 78 records neatly stacked everywhere. Eddie loved singing Music Hall songs just as much as he loved folk festivals, and he would always lead the Llantrisant Mari Lwyd ceremony, clad in his top hat. Eddie died a while back, and we felt that continuing the logo would be a lasting tribute. Our sympathies and love go to Eddie's widow, Phyllis.
